点评:I had the worst service at their Byward Market location. We were a group of 4 girls, and one of my friends has Asperger's. Because she made jokes and talked a little louder, the server accused her of being drunk. When my friend turned red out of embarrassment, Elizabeth said she could tell my friend was drunk because she was flushed. She kept repeating this even though we told her my friend was just being herself and hadn't had a drop of alcohol.
We were not being loud or disrupting anyone, just 4 girls deciding what we wanted from the menu. After taking our drink orders, Elizabeth went behind the bar and clearly talked about us to every employee by covering her mouth. All the employees gave us looks and were very obviously judging us, even though we weren't doing anything wrong. About 10 minutes later, Elizabeth returned and said they would not serve my friend because the employees she talked to decided my friend was talking weirdly. None of the other employees actually came to see or talk to us; they simply stared at us like zoo animals.
I understand the right to refuse service, but to embarrass a customer because of her disorder, interrogate her even though she did nothing wrong, and then gossip about it in front of us with the rest of the staff is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. When we asked to speak to another manager (since Elizabeth was one of the managers that night), she said the other manager was too busy to speak with us, even though we could see her behind the serving area staring at us. This was a Wednesday night at 7:30 with only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. I'm not sure how she was too busy to see us. I will never be going back.
