Forum Drive-In Restaurant的点评
点评：I was recently invited for lunch by a fellow foodie based in Whitby. We ended up at The Forum, a real old-school diner in Oshawa. It's a stand-alone building that looks trapped in time, with a brick facade, a crumbling metal awning over the entrance, a narrow interior with wood paneling and brickwork, and seating at booths only. This place is worn BUT has a charm about it!
We ordered a Club House sandwich, and Hot Hamburger, both with fries and only $8.00 and $9.95, respectively. We also shared a Grilled Cheese sandwich with Bacon, only $7.50.
The club sandwich was hefty, with lots of chicken and bacon. The hot hambuger, with two patties and lots of gravy was very filling. The fries, included with both dishes, were excellent - light and crispy. The grilled cheese sandwich had a generous amount of thick bacon and was pretty good. We both ended up taking home some food.
With decent food and ultra low prices, The Forum is worth investigating. You can either embrace the nostalgic feel of the place or order takeout.
