The simple fact that they won’t take reservations unless you have a table of 6 or more is enough to tell you what they are most concerned about: I.e. their bottom line. We arrived and had to wait 2 hours to get a table for four. Why is it more important for them to churn out table after table, which is what a no reservation policy fosters, rather than caring about their client’s experience? Why can’t they take reservations and let you know there is a (reasonable) time limit for your dinner? All other great restaurants in Whistler do this but not Sushi Village. This is because their highest priority is their bottom line, not their customers.
Time to shift your priorities Sushi Village: it’s all good until it’s not and then you’ll be scratching your head wondering what happened. If you want a loyal, happy customer base you should consider joining the current century and start taking reservations.
