点评:In a strip mall in a non-popular area of Vernon, this little Vietnamese restaurant is sparse in decor and ambience but makes up for it with good, quality, food at a reasonable price (given the worldwide supply chain issues and the increased prices that come with it). Unfortunately, the adventurous pho (tendon, brisket, etc) is no longer available but the others are on the menu. A tasty beef broth (not too salty) and generous portions of protein and carbs. They didn't offer cooked bean sprouts, only raw; but that's how we like it. Just mentioning it for those who prefer cooked sprouts; you may need to ask for it in advance. And we asked for hot peppers which they obliged... with whole peppers... would've have been nice to have it sliced... but we managed.
The pad thai was also quite good; a little less spicy than I am used to but still flavorful. I just wish there was a little more meat. But cannot complain too much with the price point.
Service was typical of a family owned restaurant; nothing special but pleasant.
I have to say Vernon does not excel at international cuisine. This little joint is one place I don't mind driving out of the way to dine at. It was a positive experience. Four stars.
