点评：Recently visited Picadilly Bistro with some friends for High Tea. I was looking forward to it as it I really enjoy a good high tea, and have tried quite a few others on the island.
The price seemed very reasonable, $40/person. We arrived and were offered mimosas, which were included and I though was a nice touch. They had a non-alcohol option for kids which was also nice. The servers were attentive and quick to refill tea pots and water glasses.
The presentation was what you would expect for a high tea, and the plates were filled with a mountain of food. I did find some of the food sub-par from the standard, especially as I have heard nothing but raves about this place and the 'home made' pastries and desserts. I do understand the time, effort, and cost that go into preparing a fully home made high tea. A lot of the pastries that 'appear' home made are not, and are mass produced and come out of a box to be baked, but I guess that's what you get for $40/person. A couple of the scones served to us were over baked and very tough although they tasted ok.
I definitely would not say this is on par with The Empress or others, I'm surprised other people would say that. But, that being said, you won't find a high tea for $40 literally anywhere else.
We did not eat off the lunch menu, but the food that was being taken out to other tables did look quite good.
I would visit again, being better prepared for what to expect.
