Beautiful lake and scenery, just avoid the Fairmont

点评：We visited this to showcase a beautiful backdrop to our young kids. We drove our vehicle up to the parking area (there is no charge for parking during winter) and were able to walk out on the ice from the end of the trail. Beautiful scenery for sure - definitely utilize the trails/paths along the sides of the lakes.
There’s a lot of tourists and other nonsense from the Fairmont - we avoided it all, including the restrooms, and just did our own thing. It’s a great place to go and take everything in, except the Fairmont.
There is a short hike on the left side of the lake - to a scenic view. My 11 year old insisted we do it, but it’s a steep hike upwards and especially tricky with the hard packed snow. The end result offers a different perspective on the view, but give yourself 30-45 minutes to complete one-way of the hike.
