点评:Our first visit to Blackies did not disappoint! The menu is expansive and educational for those of us who do not speak Spanish as it offers both versions. My husband enjoyed the tortilla soup while I ordered an appetizer of crispy calamari rings over a salad as a starter. This really IS meant to be shared and is too large for one person. The calamari is yummy and crisp, and while the salad was nothing more than a good quality garden salad, it had red & green peppers, onions, carrots etc and tomatoes and the Italian dressing served on the side was really really good! The calamari came with a side of cocktail sauce which was not similar to the USA version as my husband and I tasted vinegar instead of horseradish. The fish dish I had was luscious and was covered in capers, olives and a butter garlic sauce. My husband enjoyed his overstuffed pepper dish! I don’t know if due to us being new customers or not, but we were given complimentary shots of Blackie’s signature after dinner (frozen, creamy kahlua) drinks called “no name” which he told us he invented in 1987. These are to die for and will always be on our order from now on! The ambience, food and service were all wonderful. We look forward to returning to this wonderful restaurant!!!
