点评：Fantastic tour, friendly and knowledgeable staff and excellent food - we highly recommend this excursion! We were picked up in San Jose del Cabo early in the morning and arrived in La Paz before 9 am. Our driver, Juan, was friendly and quite funny - he kept us updated about travel time and where we were.
Once we arrived in La Paz, we were greeted by our guide and the boat crew, all of whom were helpful and friendly. Our time on the boat started with a tasty breakfast and drinks from the open bar, then some time on the bow while we received our instructions and headed to the whale shark area.
It took a bit of time to find some whale sharks but once we did, it was incredible! My husband and I were in the third group to enter the water and we ended up surrounded by a group of five of these majestic animals! Our guide made sure we all saw them and got as close as allowed - it was truly unforgettable! We spent a couple of hours up close with the whale sharks, with groups of 4 at a time in the water. Once our time was up, we headed back to the catamaran for a snack (fresh ceviche) and that was followed by a delicious lunch. After lunch we headed to see the sea lions and anyone who wanted to was able to snorkel and swim near them. As promised, we were back at the marina by 3 pm, where our driver was waiting to take us to Todos Santos for a quick stop. We were back at our resort before 7 pm - a long day that was very much worth it!
Note: we originally booked this whale shark excursion in January 2022 - unfortunately, the port was closed due to high winds before we could even leave the port on our selected date. We were provided a certificate/email that allowed us to return for the same tour at any time within a 3-year period. Contacting Baja Charters to rebook was very easy and they’re great at communication.
