点评：To put Pepe's abilities in perspective I grew up freediving nearly year-round in Florida and worked on the water for over a decade. I learned more in one-week diving with Pepe than I normally would in a year. His understanding of spearfishing transcends human ability. At any skill level, you will feel comfortable going with Baja Azul, he can teach just as well as he can dive. There will not be a dull moment on your trip as Pepe and his crew are the kindest, funniest people you will meet in your life. Pepe goes out of his way to make sure you're having a good time with him and getting on BIG fish.
The locales are second to none. Caves that hold pargo the size of pitbulls in 10 meters. Schools with thousands of rays leaping out of the water at daybreak as you cruise by volcanic mountains in a panga on a glassy day. Ridges that run for miles jutting out from the abyss with record broomtails and gulfies swarming around you. Sea lions buzzing you leaping out of the water just inches away. Gulf of California and The Pacific is the wild west of spearfishing.
What else can I say! Knowledgeable, professional, and beyond competent. Just as a taste of what this man is capable of; Pepe retrieved an all-black weight belt that went overboard off a panga in 25 meters of water from a kelpy bottom in 15m visibility. Unreal ability. Pepe will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS put you on GIGANTIC fish. He is the BEST diver and guide in the world right now hands down. If you are considering a trip to dive in Baja do not miss out on diving to the best spots with a true master of the underwater world.
