点评：Well organized and wonderful experience from start to finish. And Raul the guide was amazing! (I'll get back to him)
First we tracked down a whale shark and took turns swimming alongside him. He was about 25 feet long and quite a majestic creature. It was incredible to see him up close feeding on plankton for extended periods. Then we rode to a small island with a sea lion colony (not Espiritu Santo, but another smaller one) and swam/snorkled among sea lions, teams of exotic fish and healthy reefs, as an abundance of exotic birds flew above. That was just incredible, especially when the beautiful creatures swim right up to you and around you. This is really up close nature!
After that we rode to Balandra beach for a very nice picnic in this stunning and private location.
The guides were very safety oriented and explained things very clearly and follow the state and federal preservation rules closely. The organizer Saul was very helpful. The captain was also great.
A special call out to Raul. He was wonderful. Warm, friendly and knowlegeable and informative. And most incredibly, he convinced my wife to snorkel among the sea lions. You see, she can't swim and has a paranoia of drowning. Up to the last minute she kept saying she wanted to go back to the boat. But he calmed her and held her hand and stayed with her the whole time with a float device to make sure she was safe and felt comfortable (and I stayed near by). As a result, this was the first time that she'd had this experience and she absolutely loved it. Thank you Raul!
