点评：Popped in here last Sunday for lunch....overall a really good satisfying experience.... it seems a good mid range pub restaurant attached to a hotel/guest house....with a kind of salmon pink facade perhaps!....bar has an understated country type feel....it is clean comfortable and seemingly well maintained....ample room for dining in the bar whilst also feeling somehow cosy....service was good....polite and friendly....the young waitress with dark hair and spectacles especially seemed kind and helpful....I ordered the Sunday lunch with chicken and Yorkshire pudding....the meal itself was certainly well presented on a trencher style plate with an accompanying bowl for some of the vegetables.... certainly I have to compliment on the portions....really generous and very satisfying and filling....a good selection of vegetables including roast and boiled potatoes roast carrot and parsnip....the cauliflower cheese was excellent with a little added pepper....the chicken was a good portion also....moist tender and not over cooked....to follow I had the raspberry cheesecake with pouring cream....this was really tasty and certainly refreshing to the palate....a really good meal and also excellent value....certainly restaurant quality in my humble opinion!.... all washed down with diet pepsi of course!.... several other options for Sunday lunch are also available on the menu....with choices of different meats....in summary a fine satisfying experience.... I'm glad I had only breakfasted lightly that morning....otherwise I might not have been able to finish!
