Full day offshore fishing trip April 11 2023 Y-knot 36 Intrepid

点评：Was an excellent full day experience on their 36 ft Intrepid. They have 3 boats but his is their fastest boat and gets to the fishing grounds much quicker for more fishing time. Would highly recommend the full day or morning trip as afternoon was slower for fishing. Had three large tuna hooked up, and also hooked a yellow tail, and landed a grouper, a large ocean trigger fish (known locally as a Turbot- see the pic I uploaded on this review ..tastiest fish I never had before!!), and a couple of barracuda. First mate, Pierre is also top notch and knew how to put us on the fish. Both captain Andrew and first mate were born and raised here with family in the industry that go back multiple generations. We went offshore and were soon surrounded by four or five other boats when they saw us catching. It was a slow fishing day for everyone but us. We saw one other boat land a single fish, and they were all visibly jealous of our boat. These guys know how to catch fish, and the other captains in the more expensive boats were clearly upset which made us smile ;) Captain Andrew cut and cleaned the triggerfish and made fresh ceviche on board for a wonderful lunch snack. Then, when the fishing got slow towards the end of the trip, we use the last two hours to go pet the stingrays at stingray city, and do a quick snorkel before returning back to dock. These guys made an awesome day for our visit which we will remember for years to come. Don’t be fooled by the bigger and more expensive boats; these guys know how to fish better than most all of them that we saw. Would definitely book with them again.
