Spotty service but food was okay

点评：Chive is a new restaurant and we were interested to see if the food lived up to the social media posts.
Environment: it’s a small restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating. Does have a slight cafe vibe.
Service: service felt very spotty. It took a while for us to get proper attention from our sever. It wasn’t a busy day, so our server should have been more prompt. And management needs to know how to be more friendly and know how to survey the room to ensure all guests are being attended to. A couple came in after us and the manager assited them but never asked us if we’re okay, or noticed we were waiting which would have been nice. Overall our server was okay.
Our mains also took forever to come, and not one time did the server come by. We just waited quite a while. Restaurants in Kingston seems challenged in the customer service department…..

The food was expensive for the portions. Nevertheless, it was good.
The drinks menu seems okay.
