点评：We visited Blue Marlin as guests at Sanctuary Cap Cana. The service was 5 stars. The ambiance was 5 stars. There’s nothing like sitting over the ocean, listening to the waves & watching the moon rise over the water. Magical.
The food was very, very good. We had the shrimp wrapped in puff pastry & fried calamari as starters. For our main courses we ordered the grilled octopus & the tiger shrimp. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse & the passion fruit sable. The grilled octopus with the sauces was in my top 3 bites of our entire trip.
The signature cocktails were basic - Blue Marlin & Infinity - would not order again.
We were resort guests, but our bill would have been ~$125 before tipping if we had been paying out of pocket. I noticed some reviewers thought it was overpriced, but that doesn’t seem extreme for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts & 2 cocktails on vacation, but maybe that’s just me.
Good to know: men are requested to wear long pants, collared shirts & close toed shoes. Women are asked to dress “elegantly”.
Also good to know: they are closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. This was disappointing to us because we definitely wanted to eat there again…oh well, guess we’ll just have to go back!
