The Downe Arms Restaurant的点评
点评：Came for dinner on an evening walked in the young lady very pleasant the other chap very miserable gave us menus and didn’t even speak. The garlic mushrooms on brioche I have to say were beautiful but the prawn cocktails majorly disappointed, the prawns had very clearly just been took out the freezer and ran under hot water to thaw out so they hadn’t been thawed out properly hardly any sauce. The mains, the burger was nice as was the scampi and hunters chicken however the steak was ordered medium well and came medium rare was asked to be cooked more that didn’t seem an issue however when it came back it was very clear it had been deep fried in a deep fat fryer it was extremely greasy stank of a fryer and very chewy. Desserts unfortunately out of 4 desserts non were great sticky toffee pudding over baked and over heated in the microwave making it hard in places and didn’t come with the ice cream it said on the menu the Eaton mess isn’t really an eaten mess and the frangipane was served cold fresh out the fridge not warm. Won’t be rushing back even though some of it was nice it’s not worth a revisit.
