点评:Excited to visit Happy Farms for the very first time, on arrival, without stepping out of my car, I was already blown away by the ambience of this place. Absolutely beautiful! Farmhouse doors led us to a stunning interior, bustling with patrons. 'This is going to be a fantastic experience', I declared. Stood at the entrance for a few minutes with 4 employees directly in front of me and my party of 3, eyes brushing over us with no attempt to greet us. Finally an abrupt, 'Are you dining?' and we were seated. Amazing view from our table! I could see the paw paw trees, passion fruit vines, sweet pepper trees and tucked away at the back, the chicken coop. Our server was warm and delightful. She promptly placed our order and answered all our questions about this interesting place. The wait was long. The salmon and salad arrived first. A hearty serving of salmon, well seasoned, tasty. It was consumed and we were still waiting for the other 3 meals. The two orders of Flatbread with smoked salmon and cream cheese arrived. The serving size was small, no vegetables, really should be put under 'Appetizers'. The texture of the Flatbread was doughy. The smoothies were excellent and you can request for no sugar to be added. It was a hot day and went down well. There is a wide selection with many local fruit options. Finally my meal arrived, chicken skewers with a chimchuri sauce, potatoes and glazed carrots. Not totally sold on the appearance, I dug in, convinced that the taste was going to be a pleasant surprise. The chicken was raw! As I slid every piece of chicken off the first skewer looking for a cooked piece, I was so disappointed. I touched the meat, it was cold. Did it actually make it to the grill? The server was also shocked. She apologized and whisked it back to the kitchen. Now hear me out, raw meat is off putting and careless at a restaurant. Where is the quality control? By the time it returned, I really didn't have an appetite. The sides, equally disappointing, thin slices of carrots soaked in sugar and potatoes fried and soggy. The quality and presentation of the food needs to be on par with this beautiful goldmine of a place.
