点评:Started seeking this restaurant out after seeing a YouTube clip. I knew it would have been busy during the day so we made a call to drop in for dinner.
One of the observations my wife made as we looked in was there was a local lady dining by herself in a ramen joint. To my wife this meant at least two things - one it's clean and two the ramen must be good.
Ordering wasn't easy as you had to order from a machine and everything was written in Japanese, however one of the guys came out and explained which was which. I had my mind made up on the uni/chicken stock tsukemen even before I got there so that's what I ordered and my wife had the signature chicken ramen.
Both were delicious! Chicken pieces were moist and flavoursome while the broth was full of flavour. The presence of uni made the tsukemen that much more interesting. After I finished the noodles the chef heated up a tea based broth and filled the tsukemen dipping broth bowl so I could easily slurp up the last bits of goodness.
Presentation is also something else. Need to see the size of the ramen bowl to believe it. I also wanted to try the mentai ramen as well the following day, but never got the chance to go back - sorry to the restaurant for not making it back for the mentai ramen as promised.
We also noticed while dining at the restaurant that there were more women patrons than men during dinner. Considering portions weren't small, I guess men were off having drinks with foods that go with it while the ladies were more interested in nice food to be shared with friends without breaking the bank.
My wife wasn't sold when I suggested the place, but after the meal she agreed it was one of the best ramen we had this trip.
Definitely going back to this place when in Osaka again.
