Quiet and Lovely
Mas à l'Improviste的点评
点评：Coming from Spain and going home to Italy we decided to stop for 2 nights at this Mas., which I booked by Booking .com .
The Mas is in the small and very quiet village of Maillane at about 7 kms from the more famous and crowed Saint Remy de Provence , but we liked the choice .
The check in was at 3 but we arrived earlier and so we called Chris ,the owner , who was not in and he was very kind and gave us the code number to enter the Mas and then he arrived after a few minutes. Chris was a lovely guy who gave us suggestions about where to eat ( we had dinner In 2 very good restaurants ) and what to see .
We must say that reaching it was not easy , and when we finally found the small street with no exit where the Mas is , the impression was not so good . But once we entered the gate, a bright and nice garden with shadowy trees , a swimming pool , deckchairs , tables and lots of beautiful furnishing welcomed us , in a pleasant atmosphere .
We had booked a superior room which actually was quite small , with a French bed , so again also quite small too , but I must say that the linens and the embroiled cotton blanket and pillows were very nice and very “ French”
The bathroom on the contrary was of a good size, especially the shower and both the room and the bathroom were very clean.
Breakast was amazing : the first day we had it inside because of the strong Mistral , but the day after it was in the garden . Chris prepared a lot of food : yogurt , fresh fruits , hams , tomatoes of different types and colours, cheeses , jams, hot bread , toast with ham and cheese , croissants fruit juice , and more and everything was served with good taste .
In the garden there was also a fridge filled with bottles of water , wines, beers, soft drinks which are available for the guests free of charge .
So if you like a busy atmosphere , streets crowded with people , lots of shops and bars , restaurants , Maillane is not for you.
But if you like a quite place, privacy , and lovely ambiance Mas a L’improviste is the right place .
