点评:Disappointing would be an understatement, especially when we had been recommended by regular visitors. I will say in defence of the management, we had struck the same night as the $5400 member’s prize draw, which no doubt contributed to the huge queue at the ordering counter. We duly paid for our meals, ordering dessert for 3 out of the six of us at the same time. One of our six chose a carvery meal which was more or less self serve. A mere two hours later, our food still had not materialised and one of us went to chase them up. Still nothing happened for some time. Then one meal arrived and the waitress enquired which meals we were waiting for. Two chicken dishes, a Moroccan Lamb Skewers and a Salt & Pepper Calamari were still missing. Finally, the lamb and calamari arrived and were tepid at best. Once again, one of us went looking for the two chicken dishes, only to be told that the order had either not been put through or had been ordered for Table 0. This despite us sighting the complete order being placed for our table number earlier .
The chicken meals were both ordinary at best. The spring rolls and carvery were both OK.
Now we come to dessert. 3 x serves of Sticky Date Pudding (one with ice cream, two with cream). My one with ice cream came along on its own. Then the waitress came over and asked if we had everything, whereupon we advised her that we were still missing the other two puddings both with cream. Finally, they arrived with no cream! The waitress was immediately told the cream was missing which she rectified quickly.
I have been to plenty of other very busy restaurants but I’ve never encountered a situation such as this. I am not sure whether they had not anticipated being this busy on a Sunday night before but they must have known there would be a lot of members ( large carpark was full!) present for the big cash prize on offer, so I cannot decide if they were either terribly understaffed or just plain incompetent. I will state that our stay at the resort’s motel was very pleasant apart form the dinner.
