Disappointing and worrying experience.
The Butts Farm Rare Breeds, Farm Shop and Tea Room的点评
点评：This was the first time I have visited Butts farm with my grandchildren and definitely the last.
I found it very run down, with depressed looking animals in dirty enclosures. There were bowls of dirty water and some bowls without water at all. There were two or three rabbits in particular that were being kept in a tiny cage amongst a big pile of rabbit droppings. A tortoise was kept in an inadequate enclosure shared with Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Chickens. The bottle feeding of lambs was quite laughable as the lambs were most definitely more or less sheep!. The minimal staff (only two as far as I could see) looked stressed and flustered and fighting a losing battle with the amount of animals in their care. The hand washing station was the sort of place where you needed to get washed after you had used it!
I have grown up in the countryside. I keep a tortoise myself and have kept chickens and rabbits. I did not go expecting a pristine dust/dropping free area but nor did I go expecting to come away feeling shocked and disappointed at the level of care some of these animals are receiving.
I did not go into the cafe as following my experience with the farm I couldn't get away fast enough.
