点评:We visited this restaurant purely by chance and were immediately made to feel welcome. The location is stunning, a large covered terrace overlooking the beach.
A chilled bottle of Veuve du Vernay was produced as if by magic although other options were available , eg rum punches any cocktails beers and soft drinks.
There is no real menu, but we opted for the catch of the day , lion fish, which could be cooked however you liked it it. It came with mixed vegetables and fries. Our bill was only £82 for 3 of us.
We loved it so much we booked again but this time we requested our own food choice!
What a great idea and the Chef Ottel beamed broadly and said yes I can do that for you.
So we returned and there was the Veuve ready waiting on Ice and our meal was truly spectacular ( pics following!
We had a dozen giant shrimps in a light batter, the catch of the day, which was Mahi Mahi, mixed salad, plantains( super delicious) mixed vegetables and fries. The total was £180 for 3 but to be fair it was far too much, enough for 6, but the whole experience was more gourmet than gourmet.
If you get a chance, visit for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.
There restaurant has rooms next door and a freshly renovated Manta Lodge hotel will be opening shortly.
