点评：An attractive and traditional looking pub located a short stroll away from the main High Street, but very handy if you’re visiting the Minster, this has something of a food focus with a desk just inside the door to check people in, but you could nonetheless approach the bar and the smaller section to the right did not appear to have any reserved tables. Stained glass in the window is inscribed with Some Room and Tap Room, although these days it has all been opened out in to one single room.
The menu offered a decent looking selection of dishes, many at quite reasonable prices. Service was quick and efficient, although there was clearly some confusion over the availability of certain dishes, with us first being able to order, then being told they only had one when we wanted two, then deciding they did have two after all and then finally being told they had one large portion and one small! I started off with the crispy fried halloumi served with a garlic mayo dip, and these were really very good indeed, nice and tasty and well cooked, with the only criticism being the small amount of mayo. Across the table, the chicken goujons with a barbecue sauce were ok, but certainly nothing special, they tasted very much of something mass produced, taken out the freezer and popped in to the fryer.
A main course of lasagne was also quite disappointing, it was just so bland. Well cooked and piping hot, but really no taste to it at all. I started off with plenty of seasoning in a vain effort to pep it up a bit, but that didn’t work, so I resorted to pouring tomato sauce all over it! That did the job and improved it quite considerably. Perhaps at around £12 for the larger portion size I shouldn’t have expected too much, but I would really rather have paid a little more and got something tastier.

主菜千层面也相当令人失望，味道太淡了。烤得恰到好处，热气腾腾，但真的一点味道都没有。我一开始加了很多调料，想让它更劲道一些，但徒劳无功，于是我干脆把番茄酱浇得满地都是！这招果然奏效，味道好了很多。大份的千层面要12英镑左右，或许我不应该期待太多，但我真心希望多花点钱吃点更美味的。
