Want to cycle on the Karakoram Highway? Go with Old Road Tours!

点评：We did a 3-day bike tour from Tashkorgan to Kashgar on the Karakoram Highway and it was an unforgettable experience. The landscapes were stunning : snowy mountains, red canyons, sand dunes, lakes… every day was different and beautiful.
Our guide, Patty, was fantastic. He followed us in the car, always ready whenever we needed him to refill our water bottles (basically every hour under such a heat) or repair a flat tyre. We didn’t have to carry anything on the bike, which made the ride much more comfortable.
The first day was the hardest: 110 km and some climbing up to 4200m above sea level, under strong sun and no shade. Definitely worth it in these landscapes! The last two days were much easier (downhill or flat all the way).
Camping was also a great part of the trip. We slept in beautiful spots near a lake and with amazing views of the mountains.
Only small downside: some traffic on the road, and no bike lanes. But Old Road Tours really did everything to keep us safe and happy.
