The Safari Lodge- Amakhala Game Reserve的点评
点评：My wife and I stayed with our teenagers, which meant separate lodges, although next door to each other. The lodges are utterly charming- stone built at the rear , thatched roof, canvas to the front which can be unzipped to open up onto the watering hole. Separate sitting area inside with good views out, underfloor heating, mini kitchen with stocked mini bar, fridge, kettle. Lovely bath with views and double, private, outdoor showers.
You don’t really come here for haute cuisine but it is nonetheless very good and plentiful and reasonable wine. First breakfast at 645 second full breakfast at 10 after the morning game drive, 2 course lunch, 3 course dinner etc! Good menu choices. Staff are attentive engaged and very welcoming.
As our first safari, it was outstanding. A special mention to Desmond our ranger for the stay. He was knowledgeable relaxed informative and got us into some incredible positions, right up close to the animals. Particular highlights were watching a cheetah kill of a wildebeest, parking among a family of elephants on the move with their baby calf, up close with a male lion, amazing warthogs and a visit to the watering hole right in front of our lodge by a family of giraffe. Desmond even laid on a meteor shower to top it all off.
I can’t rate this highly enough/ absolutely outstanding in every respect. Really well done, thank you.
