Ye Olde Globe Inn的点评
点评：Spending some time in North Devon with my family visiting from Los Angeles, California. Booked the day before for 12 diners for a traditional Sunday lunch. On arrival, the pub was empty of customers, not a great sign. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming with a damp, cold smell in the air.
We were informed the nut roast had run out but the chef had some veggie burgers we could have as a roast. ( only roasts dinners served on a Sunday, no alternative choices).
The order was taken incorrectly leaving one diner without a meal as the chef had run out of food, and having to share a meal between two.
The vegetables were burnt and almost inedible.
We were told the leeks were cooked with bacon but the chef could remove the bacon for the vegetarians, this never appeared even after asking twice. The alternative to the nut roast was a curry flavoured veggie burger, very odd. One diner found string in the roast chicken.
The bar had no water except tap or soda and the coffee was instant. Ordered a tea and a coffee which arrived in cups without saucers and a teaspoon stuck in each cup, again, very odd!
We felt a little sorry for the girls serving as they were left apologising for every disappointment we experienced.
A very embarrassing experience, not to be repeated.
