The Tap & Run的点评
点评：The Tap and Run is a lovely looking pub. The interior is light and spacious and the atmosphere is very convivial. However, the food is, in my opinion average at best. I went with my partner. He was hungry, I was not. Therefore I ordered the croque monsieur. I was given a small piece of bread, cut in half. There was some bacon on top of the bread which was coverd by a cheese sauce. The plate also came with a few gherkins. It was not bad. But hardly worth £14.95. I chose the salad option, rather than chips or soup. Now, call me old fashioned, but I was expecting some tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce maybe a few onions. Not a huge bowl, as obviously, it was a side order. What I was given was a bunch of rocket, (which I absolutely detest) some fennel shavings, and some odd looking purple thing which tasted of nothing. I left it.
My partner had chips with his main, and I have to say. They were delicious.
He orderd the steak. He said the steak was "ok" but he loved the peppercorn sauce, and he too said he chips were to die for. We fought over the last one!!!
He had a pudding, he chose the bakewell tart. He said "it was awful" and left it.
Having said all of the above, the ambiance and look of the Tap and Run is what everyone wants in a local pub. Our server was a girl called Alex, who was brilliant. Chatty, knowledgeable and very professional. In fact all of the staff are very good at what they do, and make every effort to be accommodating.(Alex knocked the pudding off the bill when she saw my partner had not eaten it)
So, to summarise, the Tap and Run is a great looking pub, however the food has to do the place justice, and it just did not do it for us.

总而言之，Tap and Run 是一家外观很棒的酒吧，但食物必须与它相称，而我们却没有。
