Oriental New Star的点评
点评：I went to have dinner here this evening, I was by myself and didn’t have a booking. I was shown to a table and the staff seemed friendly enough.
Soon after, there was a party of 9 seated right next to me and although were a little loud; I did not mind it.
The food was served promptly and it was ok. I ordered a glass of wine with my meal. While I was drinking my wine, a loud burping competition ensued next to me by some members of the large party. It continued on quite a while, with one of the party attempting to remove one of the people burping.
She continued to loudly burp and considering I had just had my dinner, it was disgusting and was making me feel a bit queasy.
I took my glass up with me when I was paying my bill and asked the guy (apparently he’s called sergi and is the supervisor) if I could pay the bill and have a take away cup. I made it known as to why I couldn’t finish my drink at the table. He BURST out laughing in front of two other customers waiting for their collection and they started to laugh too. He came back with the wine in a shallow sauce container and it was not unlike a pot they give you in hospital to collect urine.
I left it there and called back to have a word with the supervisor - more so about the unprofessional manner it was handled in more than the rude behavior of other customers. As my luck would have it, the supervisor was the man who laughed at me. He told me he recommended I go somewhere else in future, not something I’d need to be told twice lol, there’s not much that would entice me to return there to spend my money.
I would request though, that the Oriental New Star review their marketing policies that send unsolicited marketing emails to addresses supplied when making an online order. This is a gross breach of GDPR since May 2018.
