点评：We visited La Madera Mexican Roda just after 7pm one evening in August and we were lucky to be accommodated without a reservation, though the restaurant quickly became busy and full soon after we arrived – I’d definitely recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment. Make sure you arrive hungry. The portion sizes are exactly as other reviews suggest - generous! We struggled to finish everything we ordered, but the staff were happy to box it up for us, and the fajitas tasted just as delicious the next day. Other dishes going out to other tables looked equally tempting, and it was clear from all the empty plates around us that the food is consistently good. The only downside to the evening was the slow service, which meant our visit stretched to around 3 hours. With how busy it was, it took a while to get additional drinks or have plates cleared. This wasn’t a big issue for us as we weren’t in a rush, but worth keeping in mind. The restaurant also got quite warm, as there’s no open airflow from the sides (only the front of the restaurant) and they only have fans to keep things cool once your inside. Overall, though, the food more than made up for it, and we’d happily return.
