点评:We walked in on a slow Monday evening at 7:30 and the lady I recognise as a senior waitress eventually greeted us. There were only 2 other couples in the covered terrace, I did not notice any others on the tables inside and none of the tables were set up outside. It was dusky with a nice view outside so I asked if we could sit at an empty table at the back by the window. The waitress said no, this was a table for 4 (we were only 2) I said but the restaurant is empty and she just repeated it was a table for 4 and we could sit at the front or middle with no views. I again said but there is nobody here and there were a few other tables for 4 but again she repeated that no, it was a table for 4 and 4 people might come in. It was a pretty quiet night with a few local restaurants actually closed at this time of year so you would think that they would value any customers not just (possible) groups of 4 who may or may not come in as opposed to customers who were actually present. If there were no other places that “possible groups of 4” could sit I may have understood it, but there were other tables. We were quite put out to be honest, so we left and went to Good Asia and had a delicious meal. We probably won’t go back to Tio Pepe.
