海角村住宿加早餐旅馆的点评
点评：Cape Village Lodge is a gem, nestled in a quiet Durbanville neighbourhood. The property offers lush gardens, which we enjoyed right outside our room on a private terrace (we stayed in the self-catering queen room). Our bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom provided quality toiletries and a spacious shower, and the kitchenette was a bonus especially when we brought meals in. Renelda, the property manager, was very welcoming upon our arrival and graciously arranged storage for our two sets of golf clubs. The property host Michael was equally welcoming and provided many excellent recommendations including local restaurants and the Oranjezicht Farmers Market in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront—which we visited twice!
My husband and I stayed at the Lodge for eight nights and were there for a mixture of business and pleasure. We could comfortably work in the room’s sitting area and outside on our private patio with complimentary WiFi service. Durbanville offers a great selection of restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. Within minutes you can drive out to the beautiful countryside which offers a number of wineries and onsite restaurants. We found dining out especially enjoyable – not once did we have a bad meal.
A number of golf courses are also available—the Durbanville golf club is a great course and within walking distance from the Lodge. We golfed twice at the championship De Zalze Golf Course which was a spectacular experience, and also enjoyed golfing and the views at the Paarl Golf Club.
Seeing the beautiful countryside of Franschoek was a highlight, and dining at the Chefs Warehouse at Maison was an amazing culinary experience. If you enjoy wine, we recommend visiting Remhoogte Wine Estate for a memorable tasting with a spectacular view of the Stellenbosch mountainside. Was excited to see a zebra on the neighbouring reserve!
If you’re looking to stay somewhere with close proximity to Cape Town with all the big city attractions, but equally to the countryside with the splendour of nature, Cape Village Lodge and all the comforts it provides is the ideal accommodation.
