点评:Today we went to Bagheria to visit Villa Palagonia, the villa of monsters and after a pleasant tour we had lunch at VintiReci.
The experience was great from the beginning with the owner welcoming us in a friendly and true way. Our lunch started with some raw tuna fish and some stockfish sticks that amazed us with their flavour and ingenuous combination with some fruit and vegetable gravies.
The main courses were:
- Some gorgeous lemon tagliatelle with potatoes and clams. The lemon could be felt within the clams and both were held tight to the perfectly cooked tagliatelle thanks to the help of some noble potato cream.
- Some delicious spaghetti alla carrettiera with prawn tartare: the light zingy taste of the lemon was supported in this case by some crunchy breadcrumbs that adorned the thick, freshly made spaghetti whose al dente cooking degree is actually a testament in our food encounters.
- Some amazing potato gnocchi with octopus sauce: the strong fishy taste of the octopus was amplified by the rich tomato sauce and some octopus tentacles happily embraced the gnocchi for the delight of our 8 year old daughter!
