This place is truly amazing! Although the property is a 2 hour drive from the Liberia airport the lush jungle views, well appointed and spotless rooms, artisan quality food, and friendly staff are well worth the drive! We are a family of 4 who were travelling with two other families in late December2021/early January 2022. Although the drive from the airport seemed daunting at first, it actually was easy (mostly straight paved roads and an easy driving highway). Upon arrival at Toucan Lane we were enthusiastically greeted by the owner Joanne and her team. We ate the artisan pizzas for dinner. I have to say, as a family of pizza snobs; this pizza was THE BEST pizza I think we’ve ever had while on vacation. They import their cheese from Italy and the resident chef (Ronald) really knows what he is doing!!! They also make amazing burgers, beef tenderloin, and pasta dishes!!! Hands down Toucan Lane’s Food was the best food we had the whole time we were in Costa Rica!! The hotel itself is really cute and newly renovated . All the rooms are Costa Rican theme based (Sea, Jungle, Ranch) and offer stunning views of lake Arenal and mountain ranges. The rooms are very spacious, were super clean, have a fridge and coffee bar, lovely bedding, and air conditioning. The property has a pool, and a well maintained garden. There are three super cute little dogs on site that my animal loving daughter fell absolutely in love with!! Most of our photos include her snuggling them!!
The staff speak very good English and are really warm and engaging. I can’t say enough good things about them. They are all super sweet. They seem like a big happy family and they make you feel very cared for. They go above and beyond to ensure you are happy and show you what Pura Vida really means. We were most impressed with our server Deylin who sincerely checked in on us and the kids every day. Toucan Lane is an absolute gem of a place that we feel so grateful to have found. The owner, Joanne Lane has thought of everything. This is a 10/10 star accommodation/restaurant that I highly recommend!
