点评:My family and I decided to treat ourselves to the lobster evening while on holiday. We've had a few at the Thalassa, and this one did not disappoint! Two of us had the lobster menu and one had a la Carte.
We were warmly welcomed by Dimitris (restaurant manager) and his team and shown to a beautiful table with an amazing view. The service was fantastic. Dimitris helped us pick a wine and recommended me a cocktail (Grapefruit Julep) to compliment the meal as I am not a big fan of wine.
For the a la Carte menu, we ordered Prawn Saganaki to start and Rack of Lamb for main course.
The first course of the lobster menu was a Spaghetti from fresh squid. It was lovely, fresh and light.
The second course was Prawn Tartare Ponzu with a beautiful orange sauce.
Next was bream and mussels with mung beans in a coconut milk sauce. Again, it was a beautifully light dish, full of lovely flavours.
The prawn sagnaki from the a la Carte was gorgeous. Dimitris brought us some bread for the sauce (too good to waste) and the traditional Rhodonian bread was amazing. The prawns were large and very tender.
Dimitris had recommended the lamb be cooked to medium, and he was right with that suggestion. The lamb was beautiful.
The half lobster was possibly the best lobster we've had. The accompaniments were vegetables cooked to perfection and the sauce with the lobster was lovely-- not too rich or heavy but added so much flavour to the meal as a whole.
Dessert was a panna cotta followed by the chocolate flexi (a very decadent but delicious chocolate dish) served with a tangy sorbet.
The whole meal was amazing. All the recommendations Dimitris gave were fantastic-- he knows his stuff and is clearly very passionate about the Thalassa and making sure every guest has a fantastic experience. He was constantly running around making sure everyone was enjoying their evening. He is an asset to the Palladium.
His whole team are (again) amazing and work very hard.
