点评：Smallish, traditional pub in a peaceful Chiltern village. A very individual establishment, this is certainly a pub which does food and not a restaurant which sells beer, which is very much a positive in my view. You are likely to see locals congregated around the bar, enjoying a drink and a natter. On the bar at the time of our visit were three ales, all national brands - personally I would like to see at least one of the handpumps given over to something local. The menu is not small, but focuses on straightforward bar food - this isn't the sort of pub to come for that special meal, as there is nothing particularly interesting on the menu. That said, what they do, they do well. Main courses are priced around £12-14 and include pub staples like burgers, chilli, lasagne and sausage & mash. There's also lighter snacks such as sandwiches, wraps and jacket potatoes. We had no complaints with the food we ordered and service was friendly and efficient. The pub also boasts a pleasant garden to the rear.
