点评:We really love the setting and the food was delicious. We went for the chef’s menu and each course was really well put together. Enjoyed the scallops and the tiramisu.
Our main suggestion for improvement would be the service. The young waiter looking after us was lovely and was really trying his best. However, for a fine dining experience, we’d advise the management to ask the staff to think more carefully about the spacing of the courses and add to the finesse by, for example, ensuring that all courses arrive for all guests at the same time, and in particular, that plates are only removed once everybody at the table has finished eating. An unintentional consequence of plates being removed early is that it implicitly implied that we needed to rush our meal and move on—whereas we booked a time that allowed us at least 2 to 3 hours of space to be able to have an unhurried meal.
We’d also suggest allowing at least 10 to 15 minutes between courses, and particularly between the main course and the dessert course. This was a social event as well as a business meeting on a Saturday night, and the service needs to be set up with the understanding that this is friends getting together wanting to have an enjoyable, high-class evening and to be able to spend time catching up and enjoying time over a social meal.
