My mom even remembers coming to King Fong's more than 65 years ago! The decor is a trip back in time! And the egg foo yung is scrumptious!
This is one of my favorite restaurant in Omaha. The furnishings came from China in the 1920. It has been family owned since opening. The food is fresh and the service is excellent.
I'll be the first to admit King fongs prices are HIGH AS H?//...so if your somebody on a budget this isn't the place for you! For ex a simple order of shrimp fried rice will cost you at least $12 but you can go down the street and get the same thing for half the price. On the other hand... 更多
The decor of King Fong is well worth seeing. Elaborate carved screens and inlaide mother of pearl tables are just the highlights. Unfortunately, the food is not as good. Bland, saturated with sauces to hide the fact that the dishes contain more celery than anything else, I've had better at Panda Express.
Very popular with the locals! You go here more for the attraction than the food, although the food is good, too. No elevator, you walk up a narrow flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. Intricately carved space dividers in dark wood make you think you have been transported to an ancient time. With so much re-development taking place in... 更多
We used to like this place. However, on our last visit, the service was terrible and the food mediocre. We sat at a table about two away from where the server was sitting and chatting with the customers there. Took her 10 minutes to even come over and greet us. You used to get soup with your meal, but no... 更多
This place is pretty fun. Its like if you were in the movie "Big Trouble in Little China". Thats what this place reminds me of. The food is pretty good and the portions are nice. Its fun to take kids there because of the look and feel of the place. Its a must go place in Omaha - even if... 更多
Ate here during Law School, and thereafter. (1980's) Mostly lunch, a few take outs and a dinner or two. Typical Chinese Menu and dishes. Usually quite fresh and hot. Good food--great prices. There are grooves worn in the marble steps and foyer--so you dream of the people who have walked thru the same restaurant. I believe it opened in 1922... 更多
I had a wonderful lunch here. I had the lunch special, chow mein with rice and egg foo yung. it was delicious and very reasonably priced, and came with tea. The place is the thing - it's charming old glamour. All marble tables and gilt chadeliers and stained glass. Everyone should come here at least once. If you're going to... 更多
We heard a lot about this place and had to try it so we could experience it for ourselves. I think everything we heard was simply embellished in people's memories. The food didn't seem like anything special to us at all. The décor was interesting though, and we enjoyed wandering around and looking at various carvings and art pieces. Even... 更多
