Christiana was our waitress and was wonderful. She was super attentive and friendly. The prime rib was exceptional (as always). Our favorite restaurant in Boston!
I ate here 25 years ago. It is as good as I remember. The waitress is way too nice to work here. We really enjoyed it. We had the lobster roll, clam chowder and Boston Cream Pie. Other family had the surf and turf. I think the rating of 3 is too low.
Friends picked me up at the pier and suggested I try the historic restaurant. Because we had a stroller and one lady had knee issues, we had to sit downstairs in the Bar area because they don't have an elevator. It was stiffling hot inside but because we were hungry and it was lightly raining outside, we just shed enough... 更多
After hearing some mixed reviews from friends we headed to Durkin Park for a late lunch and walked away so stuffed we had to pass on dinner. It wasn't Thanksgiving but the Thanksgiving wrap was fantastic. The staff was helpful with the menu; the free cornbread was delicious; and my ice tea glass was always kept full. Always fun to return to this unique restaurant, one of the oldest in Boston. It serves traditional New England Food such as prime rib, Turkey dinners, and corned beef. They also offer salads, soups, and sandwiches and desserts. Diners sometimes sit at long communal tables but there are also smaller tables. A rewarding and enjoyable trip back in time. Our... 更多
Historic site, menu, and surroundings. As it was later on a week night I was the only customer on the one side. It was charming and comforting. Staff very attentive and friendly. Portions are good sized. Clam chowder was very good. Corn bread was fresh. Also tried the Indian pudding. A coworker insisted the pudding here was the best. Never... 更多
Historic Boston establishment over the years. Seating is at long tables a or a few smaller tables. Good seafood, especially the Schroeder broiled. Highlight of the evening was our server, Christiana, who was knowledgeable and funny. Good service was appreciated.
