food is just ok, not a fan of pre-packaged "heat and serve" food. the staff is always friendly. I do love the southern fried chicken tho.
Hogfathers is just ok, but it's only just ok because it's a BBQ place in Pittsburgh. In real BBQ cities, they'd be out of business. Goode Co in Houston makes Hogfather's taste like dog food. I suppose it's one step higher than crockpot pulled pork.
Food was pretty good. Reasonably priced. Staff was great! My only real issue is nothing comes with the sandwiches and the sides were $2.99 even with a sandwich. Would have liked to have had the option of a couple sides included or $1 more...or something like that...this is the norm at most of the other BBQ joints in the area.... 更多
Stopped by on our way from Kansas City to DC for a little BBQ and we're pleasantly surprised. Dave had a wonderful BBQ brisket salad and I had a nice, thick cut brisket sandwich with their ranch BBQ sauce and an onion basket. The meat was moist and tasty. Hog fathers BBQ is the best barbecue in Washington, end of story. Everything is good--ribs, chicken, and the pulled pork sandwich are all signature dishes. Sides are all great. I'll recommend the Mac N' Cheese, BBQ beans, and sweet potato fries, in that order. Their sweet tea is fantastic also. Pro tip: Hog fathers express in the Washington Crown Center... 更多
Wonderful pork and side dishes. We stop on our way to concerts. The mac and cheese is a must. The platters are a good value and the fried chicken is good also. Always a good crowd but worth any short wait.
Their pulled pork sandwiches are as good, if not better, than down south (which they are noted for their pulled pork sandwiches). As for the ribs, well they fall off of the bone and have a delicious barbecue sauce.
