Between the hot fresh sandwiches and homemade soups, I could barely choose a meal. We all ordered different items so we could try many of them. This is by far the best lunch option around for the entire area.
We had a wonderful, tasty, lunch in Black Mountain. The bread and soup were just wonderful. It's a very cute place with good service. Enjoyed looking at their cook books and my friend bought tea towels. Will go again
We finally got a chance to eat at this popular little Black Mountain lunch spot and discovered it to be as delightful as described. Service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, highlighted by wood floors and exposed brick walls. Most importantly, the food is superb. We split the Cuban sandwich which is perfectly prepared according... 更多

Amazing place! All their food is homemade wonderful; especially their soups!! I got a squash soup which my wife loved too. She got a crab soup and I finished it off! Loved their sandwiches and even the black eyed pea salad. Wish I had room for desert!
It's a cold snowy day and we wanted a cozy, comfortable restaurant for lunch. Veranda Cafe was the perfect choice. With the brick walls and interesting artwork, the environment is welcoming and warm. There were several soup choices but the crab/shrimp bisque was my selection. I ordered the bisque with a half ham/pimento cheese sandwich, a rich but delicious combo.... 更多
First visit to Veranda Cafe. Won't be my last. I had Hungarian Mushroom soup (OMG - amazing) with a half vegetarian sandwich (fresh, delicious) and a side of Southern Caviar (marinated blackeyed pea salad). The taste combinations were spot on. Food was better than expected, service was friendly and efficient, and great price.
We were able to get seated for lunch without a wait which is unusual for this popular place. We tried the turkey and brie sandwich and the muffuletta sandwich. Both were very good, but not the best we've ever had. On a future visit, we'd probably try something different. Service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere of the Veranda... 更多
We had sandwiches with a side of a black bean salad. It was tasty enough but pricey - $30 for two. I had the club; the filling was good, but it was served on plain white bread which kind of ruined the sandwich for me. For that price, they should offer some choices for the bread.
Anna, Thanks for coming in and giving us a try. Anytime your back we have seven kinds of bread and... 更多
