Amazing that after we were having dessert and coffee they decide to bring a fish we were missing. Not only it was to late for it but instead of an apology they insisted that we have to pay for it. Unbelievable
No reservations, no fancy room to wait but a lively dining room filled with locals and great fish. Don't accept the secondary dining room unless you are famished but wait for main seating. There is a nice outs IDE space for warm weather. Also the waiter knows which fish is the freshest but won't want to tell you. Try anyway... 更多
Owner has disgusting attitude towards patrons. We went to Elias this Saturday evening. We have gone many times in the past. When the place is not crowded, the food is good and the service as, at best, acceptable. However, when the place is crowded, the service is terrible and the owner doesn't care how bad it is. Four of us... 更多
We found the food to be delicious and generously portioned. The waiter will tell you what's available...there's no printed menu. They are sure of themselves, and have every right to be. We ate there Thursday 14th. Fantastic fresh seafood, great atmosphere. It feels like you are in a taverna on 5he coast of Greece. Everything we had was very good. The seabass for 3 done on the grill, lobster, and the various appetizers were all very good. If you look for fresh seafood at reasonable prices in the New York area,... 更多
WHenever we want to have a good fish and don't want to waste time looking for a good place, this is where we go. We tried several similar places in Astoria but none of them were so good or so consistent. The menu is somewhat limited but is always good.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in New York. The fish are so fresh, they were probably swimming a few hours before. The grilled octopus is the best I have ever had. The salads are fresh and the wait staff is friendly and attentive.
No menu, no credit cards, sounds weird at this popular eatery. But, it turned out serving sort of delicious seafood and price was reasonable. However, only seafood was good, pork chops were way of over cooked.
While a few other dishes are available, what you go for is a large whole fresh fish, chosen from the... 更多
