Really good food! Enjoyed the different plates and hot and cold mixture. Good portions. Not too expensive. Book as not too big and seems busy
Coming from South East Asia and having experienced excellent Rijstafel at home, we were curious about Indonesian food in Amsterdam. The hotel concierge recommended this place, which he himself is familiar with, and likes, and which is a comfortable 15 mins walk from the hotel. I must admit that though the standard of the rijstafel is acceptable, it is not... 更多
We stayed in a nearby hotel and saw that Django was recommended. [I'll make a plug for the hotel as well, as it was an easy walk to both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum: Wyndham (Apollolaan 2)]. Other locals also recommended it to us. Not ever having dined at an Indonesian restaurant, we were anxious to try it.... 更多
went there on a recommendation. The place is small-ish but pretty, in a great location right by the RAI Conference centre. They have a nice menu (ever-present rijstafel and other dishes), which is only in Dutch, but the waiting staff, who are extremely helpful and polite, speak good English and could help with translation. The list of wines is pretty... 更多
4 of us went here after a conference at the RAI. Waiter's English was spotty, but hey, not a problem. Food was delicious and we had a good time. The next morning however, two of us developed really bad food poisoning. It was the only meal we'd had together, so this was the place. A full 12 hours of unintended... 更多
I had a super meal sitting outside, I had a plate with nudles, chicken saté and steamed vegetables in peanutsauce. Service was excellent, very friendly personel and not expensive. I truly recomment this restaurant for an honest and delicious indonesian meal
This is only the second Indonesian restaurant we've been to in Amsterdam but I wouldn't go back. The beef is way over cooked and is expensive for what you get. Went to Desa last wk and it was amazing. More variety and better food than Djago. Staff was nice but ok food. Won't go back.
The Netherlands colonized Indonesia and since it's independence, have welcomed the Indonesians and their food. This restaurant had a limited selection but everything we had was delicious and well prepared and presented. The wait staff was very good.
We had dinner at Djago a few times already, and it doesn' t disappoint. The plates of the menu are delicious and the price is lower than other Indonesian restaurants in town. I wouldn't say it is the best Indonesian food I have had in Amsterdam (though we did not try the rijsttafel yet at Djago) but is well worth... 更多
Sitting outside Djago watching the people going by. A great way to while away a couple of hours. Arriving on the off chance and being seated outside was great. The early evening sunshine was great as was the beer. Although the terrace menu is quite small I found enough to tempt me. The small starter of sate shrimp with prawn... 更多
