My husband and I enjoyed this tour of a local coffee, cocoa, and sugar farm. One of my favorite experiences was tasting sugarcane (yum!) and making a sugar-"loaf" out of freshly-boiled sugarcane. The coffee was delicious and we learned about so many different ways to prepare coffee beans from the plant to the roasting to the packaging. Tasting the cocoa... 更多
Our guides were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and invested in portraying the mission of the plantation. It was very fun learning and seeing the different ways coffee is dried, roasted, and sorted, and I enjoyed making chocolate and the traditional sugar-cane sugar.
We were collected and dropped back to our hotel but be aware that there will probably be a vehicle full and the roads around Monteverde don't make for a comfortable ride. Still better than walking! When we arrived there was a large number of other people milli g around but they were split up into smaller groups. I have often... 更多
This is an underrated tour that was AMAZING! I am a coffee drinker and my wife is NOT. Both young couple and had a really fun time. We saw, learned and experienced much more than expected. Even though it wasn't picking season, there is a lot to see, it was still a fun filled tour. Our guide (son of owner)... 更多
This was the first tour we did in Monteverde. It was very informative and entertaining. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor!. There were about ten people in the tour (it was split up so they could have smaller groups). We toured the coffee plantations and got to know firsthand the steps from picking... 更多
Went on this tour with my 16 year old son. He needed to be persuaded as he thought it was going to be boring but ended up being one of his favorite tours in Costa Rica. Our guide had a great personality and made the tour really fun and interesting. The farm has not only the most delicious coffee I've... 更多
Very informative tour. There is a bit of walking up hills. The sugar cooking area and processing are true antiques. We learned so much about coffee here. The guides are friendly. At the end we were treated to coffee and a taco made from a local root.
We took this tour in April 2017. The tour covers coffee, cane sugar and chocolate and they explain that the farm concentrates on coffee with the cane and cocoa only being there for demonstration during the tour. Very interesting and informative tour done in a fun way with lots of samples and hands-on experience. Younger children would love the ride... 更多
