A very good temple to visit located in the heart of the temple town of Kumbakonam; the temple requires one to climb up and down some steps - though not very large in number, but they are quite steep and is not comfortable for those who are weak in the knees.
This temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is one of the divyadeshams and the Lord is in the form of Chakrathazhvar.The temple is very big and there are many sannadhis of many God's. It is located close to Sarangapani temple and easily accessible.
Chakrapani temple is a nice temple tucked away in one corner of Kumbakonam. It is probably close to the cauvery river banks but not sure as there is no water in the cauvery these days. We visited this place as a part of our temple tour. The main deity is Vishnu in the form of Sudarshan Chakra.

There are two sets of stairs to go to the main sanctum depending on the movement of the Sun.It attracys a lot of visitors being in the middle of the town.But the sculptors are not much to speak about

This Vishnu temple is in the heart of the town but not well maintained. Very old temple not even painted again. It has a big outside pragaram.
