We drove over hill and dale to get to this location. It was good to see, but not earth shattering. It's a 10 minute stop.
This is quite unique experience well worth the small detour from the main roads. It's a natural cave which forms a tunnel thru a mountain. There is an isolated village behind the mountain, the only access road is thru the cave. That's why they have build a normal asphalt road thru the cave, so you can drive with your car... 更多
Found this by looking on tripadvisor before leaving for Asturias, and made a detour to visit whilst waiting for our cave tour at Tito Bustillo- probably about 15 min drive from there. We are so glad we did! Well worth a visit- novelty being able to drive through, then walked through. Parts are lit to view the stalagmites/tites. Kids loved... 更多
If you are staying local its worth a look. Amazing the you can drive through. We did and we parked up and walked through too. There was no bar/cafe open that wr could see in Cuevas to grab a drink but not sure if this was due to the time of year. Lovely drive from Ribadesella. Nice morning activity.
We decided to walk from Ribedesella following the Monte Moro trail to the cave it took about an hour and was a good way to see the countryside. The cave is dark, cool and impressive. It has a cathedral like quality and we felt it was worth the walk. Cars can drive through but on the day we went it... 更多
For the serious caves and rock people this place is suspect a tad so-so, but for the rest of us it is worth the visit because of the rest of its more recent history. The opening itself is to behold, unlike some many other small cave entrances.
It may be on the road, yet there is hardly any traffic as the hamlet at the other end if a dead end. Interesting sight inc the village with its strange little storage buildings
Nice natural cave that deserves a visit and walking cross through it. You would not say it has not been done by any other thing than nature!
