After wandering up the hill 1/2 km from the center of ostuni, past the myriad of tourist shops, you come to a sloping piazza with the duomo at the eastern end. The position is remarkable.....it is visible for many kilometers outside of the city......but the duomo itself has little to recommend it. A few nice windows, a few interesting carvings,... 更多
At the top of the old town, a pretty square dominated by the duomo of the cathedral. The white buildings are stunning/

Just 8 minutes walking from downtown and tourist office, follow "via cattedrale" and get it, inside there is a old woman talking and asking money like an offer to everybody but you have not to if you don't want.
We arrived at dusk and we had enough light to take some great photos before exploring the Duomo. It is great in the Autumn but I suspect in the heat of a summers day in July it may seem different. Definitely a walk as the climb can be steep but it should not be missed.
If you like art, you have to visit it. We got a lot of info thanks to the owner of the gift shop just in front of the Duomo. Grazie mille!
Just lovely to sit here and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy wonderful coffee and cake - yum. The cathedral is very impressive - it is really beautiful in fact we went back a second time just to sit and enjoy our surroundings.
Do not miss Ostuni if in Puglia. It is one of the most beautiful of the hill top towns. It has a beautiful old Citadel section and the views from the wall are wonderful. There are a large number of nice restaurants in the old town, with basement restaurant sections literally built into the rock.
