A little gem to pass an hour touring. 3Euro entrance for the 60+. Well worth supporting.
There was a travelling exhibition of sea paintings on our visit. Very interesting. 500 and 400 year old paintings in beautiful condition.
Friendly staff. Closes for lunch but you can come back after your lunch at "Le Sauvage". My recommendation! But I haven't tried...
12 May 2015. Could have stayed much longer exploring this hill-top town (Yes it is does top a hill, and the drive up is an experience). We could have stayed much longer in the museum and the staff were very helpful.
Cause I am disabled, my entrance and my companions entrance is free, and also the use of the disabled chair. We got also service from the guardians. The theme is "La Flandre et la Mer" till 12/07/2015. (http://museedeflandre.lenord.fr/fr/Accueil.aspx).
"La Flandre et la mer" was a very nice exhibition, the audio guide was good, never too long, but interesting and informative. The exhibition is not too big but nicely spread in this pretty museum. Museum staff is friendly and helpful. We had the chance to attend a dance performance (mainly for kids) which stressed the themes of the exhibition....
