at the risk of blowing its cover, this is one of the best rides in town and in the country practically for a few bucks you can imagine mark twain etc and sense the river in his time ... just a lovely site lovely place and so serene a secret really ...
If you live on west side of town and you need to go to airport best way is Anderson Ferry, they usually have 2 running, it cost $5 each way or $8 round trip (for car or truck) less for motorcycle. Me, my parents and thier parents have used ferry forever. It's an icon, relaxing and kids love it.
Just go on the Ferry - whether you are trying to get to the airport faster or not. The experience is worth the drive getting there.

Had to take the family on a ferry ride? $5 cooool Short line, 2 ferries were actually running. Little rain, but that didn't dampen the spirit.

Unique little attraction that's worth a stop - make sure to have cash.
I use this whenever I go to or from the airport. It's a great shortcut. Only takes a few minutes to get over to the other side, drive up the hill and you are there. Always felt safe on the ferry and it is very inexpensive.

But in the summer, spring, and fall, the sunsets when there are partly cloudy skies over the river are as beautiful as sunsets I have... 更多
