This is a very simple hiking park from what I could see. The parking is limited so many folks are forced to park on the road that runs along the park boundary. Most of the trails are shaded so you won't burst into sweat on a regular day. This month, April was very pleasant. Their are four difficulty levels. 1.... 更多
There are many trails available with great signage so you should be able to find your trail. For kids, there are lots of shorter trails that are relatively flat and easy to walk. There are enough trails for a 2+ hour hike. Views are not that good and the parking lot gets full on sunny Spring & Fall days, especially... 更多
This park is a great opportunity to hike through the woods without having a long drive out of the city. The trails are wooded, moderately rugged and somewhat hilly.
This is one of my favorite parks. Over the years they have added more trails so there are many options for hiking. You can choose super easy to more moderate hiking. The back area trails are pretty hot in the summer, but still good parts to hike. Some of the trails are better shaded so they are still relatively comfortable... 更多
I was in San Antonio for business, staying on the Northwest side of town. I wanted an outdoor exercise option and found this gem. The trails are well marked and graded accurately. The scenery is nice and the foot traffic minimal. Great place for a trail hike!
This is a lovely park near San Antonio where you can stroll along paved paths through wonderful live oak and other kinds of trees (mesquite, maybe?). Unfortunately it was quite chilly the day we chose to go there and so we only walked for about half an hour. ON a better day I'd like to go back and explore it... 更多
My oldest son took me here twice in the same weekend. There is a nice mix of paved walkways and trails. Many of the trails have gravel to improve the traction and prevent erosion. It should be easy to find a trail to suit your hiking difficulty. Maps and signs are throughout the park to keep you from getting lost.... 更多
Beautiful location to easily get your 10k steps accomplished. You might want to take a walking stick. Some of the places are pretty rocky so you need to watch your step. Trails are well maintained. You feel like you are out of the city completely when you go walking here
I hike thru Friedrich Wilderness Park 2-3 times a week. It's beautiful, well-maintained and has a network of different trails of all difficulties (from paved walking paths to Level 4 trails that will have you huffing and puffing). You can pop in to Friedrich and, whether you want to hike for 15 minutes or two hours, at a leisurely stroll... 更多
