My husband and I came here Halloween weekend and had an absolute blast. SO many people were out partaking in halloween fun. Lots of people dressed up, lots of great witch/occult/wicca/new age type stores on the pedestrian walk. We stopped in all of them, it was so great to pick up a few crystals and trinkets to remind us of... 更多
Such fun to stroll around the mall on a cool, rainy October day! Lots of shops, the terrific Peabody Essex Museum, and places to sit back and enjoy a bite to eat with a glass of wine! Best part was the live music near the museum. Wish I knew the name of the band!
Walking and Exploring the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall is fun. Most of the shops are witch or magic themed. It was quite busy, but that would be expected since it was October. Street performers line the mall dressed as Halloween icons. They pose with you for pictures and expecting tips. It adds to the fun atmosphere. Especially if you come... 更多
Salem on a Saturday in October is crazy busy, avoid like the plague. If you decide to go anyway, stop inside if your cold it was HOT in there. There are shops and places to eat, and Cinema. Also a place you can get Witch pictures taken. Its a great short cut if your trying to get from one side... 更多
Our tour group made an unexpected stop at the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall. There had been a festival there the weekend before and it was buzzing with excitement. We got to see street performers in early colonial dress, the stores were filled with books, toys, witchcraft memorabilia, lots of extraordinary items, and restaurants smelled delicious as we strolled by. The... 更多
This was a fun mall where you could shop, dine, people watch, or just go to the Peabody Museum for other cultures. The Silversmith shop had an incredibly huge selection of rocks and fossils which was fascinating. Rockafellas restaurant was on the mall and the Bewitched statute was at one far end. Yes, there were a lot of "souvenir" shops... 更多
This mall is close to the Peabody Museum. There are plenty of shops selling usual witchcraft merchandise but it is very quiet and run down. What ever you do do not use the restrooms here as they are not very clean and smell.
Essex Street Mall Several places to eat, buy clothes, book stores, book a tour, catch the Trolley, visit the National Park Service for Salem, sit in the park and just take in the atmosphere. Marion and Monica Ivey Richmond, Va.
