The title might be a bit cynical. Albuquerque doesn't get everything right by a long shot, but they do some things quite well. We visited the center for a recycled art show and I was quite impressed with the location and facility. The building and grounds were well kept and attractive. I was very much impressed with the vista of... 更多
There is not a whole lot at this visitor center. We just stopped by to see what was there and if there was anything else to see and do in the area. There were several trails, but the parking lot is gated at a certain time and we were afraid our car would be locked in.
Our lovely city is so fortunate to have acquired this venue & the renovations made to this former home have made for an excellent visitors center. The space, interior & exterior, are always a delight to visit. Be sure to check out the beautiful artwork, especially the photography that highlights various Open Space locations, as it brilliantly captures the sense... 更多
We stopped here on our way through Albuquerque. It is on the small side but admission is free. The grounds are wonderfully kept and the restroom was spotless. The displays are well done. There is door next to the restrooms that says something like “stairs to tower”. We asked if it was accessible to visitors and were given the go-ahead.... 更多
The Open Space Center out on West Mesa is a lovely place in itself, with beautiful small gardens and patios, and an observation tower. Numerous presentations and workshops are scheduled here; it 's a fine place to just relax and learn about the some 29,000 acres of open space in the city limits. A very special corner of the city.
I always visit the Open Space. This time we were treated to Canada geese and Sandhill cranes. This is not just one facility. There are a few scattered on either side of the river. Nice hike/run/bike trails are adjacent. I enjoy running along the Bosque to see all the wildlife. If you're not in the mood to walk, bring a... 更多
Such a LOVELY facility and surroundings, you'd never know you're just off Coors Blvd.because you feel a world away. Stumbled upon this place one rainy afternoon while out with my little grandson who needed a place to stretch his little legs and explore. We both loved it. The children's area had plenty to keep a 1 year old entertained (and... 更多
